Summer Musings
Ah summer, the time of year when we try to cram 6 months’ worth of activity into 2 months!
If your schedule is already packed, how can you make the most of summer without burning out?

Whats going on in your community? Love music? History? Softball? The time you take to explore an interest isn’t selfish, its part of your self-care. Take the family out to local events and see what all your community has to offer. Chances are you’ll see some of your patients, or meet some new ones! Family time? Check. Having fun? Check. Networking? Check. Now that’s an efficient use of time!

Feel like you’re stuck in a rut? The longer days and warmer weather can make it easier to try something new. Sign up for a learn-to-run program, try planting in community garden space, or get out there with your camera and capture the beauty of our amazing never-ending twilight. Can you disconnect from your laptop/tablet/phone for twenty minutes? Take it as “tech-free” time with your family or friends, and re-connect with our physical surroundings. Whether you rest more, or move more, changing your routine will bring a new kinetic awareness that your patients will feel.
Be self-care-ful
MTSO knows you need to care for yourself before you can care for others. Take a look on your shelf at work. A few drops of lavender with your regular coconut oil makes a great skin-recovery blend if you’ve had a little too much sun.
Can’t be bothered to mix and blend? Try Biotone’s fantastic Hydrating Massage Lotion with lavender and calendula.
Mosquitos getting you down? Hagina Herbal 35 Body oil has been used as an insect repellent as well as a muscle liniment. All that extra summer activity can take its toll on our bodies too.
Might this be a good time to trial a new topical painkiller? (try Natural Source - Magnesium Gel with Arnica, or these)
Our goal? To support you so that you can keep doing what you love.
In health,
The team at MTSO
