1. Pre-Wash New Linens and Towels
    • Wash separately before first use.
    • Add 1 cup of white vinegar to a warm or cool regular wash cycle.
    • Avoid overloading the washer or dryer.

  1. Daily Washing Routine
    • Wash linens and towels at the end of each workday using warm water and a medium cycle.
    • Avoid overloading the washer or dryer.

  1. Avoid Fabric Softeners
    • Fabric softeners reduce absorbency and leave a residue.
    • Instead, use ½ cup of white vinegar—either in the bleach dispenser or directly in the drum before adding linens.
    • Use a double rinse cycle to help remove soap and oil residues.

  1. Do Not Use Bleach
    • Bleach can leave chemical residues that may irritate clients’ skin.
    • Its scent can affect clients with odor sensitivities.
    • It breaks down fabric fibers prematurely.

  1. Treating Oil-Stained Linens
    • Use a pre-soak cycle with a degreasing detergent (e.g., Citrikleen, Myo-Ther N-Zyme Laundry Aid, Greenlife Liquid Laundry Detergent, or Resolve).
    • Spray oil spots immediately after use with your choice of degreasing agent or Dawn Original Dish Soap to help prevent permanent staining.
    • If a rancid oil odor is present, soak the item overnight using one of the degreasing detergents listed above before washing.

  1. Drying Instructions
    • Dry linens on medium heat.
    • Clean the dryer lint tray after every load.
    • Flannelette fabric is napped (raised, fuzzy texture) therefore they will shed excess lint during the first 2–4 washes—this is normal.

  1. Steri Pillow Care (Self-Deodorizing)
    • Surface wash using mild soap and lukewarm water; rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
    • For tough stains, use a vinyl cleaner and soft-bristled brush.
    • To disinfect: Wipe down with a solution of 1 part household bleach to 9 parts water.
